Every year historic houses, buildings, and cemeteries fall to ruin with no one aware of the roles they played in their community's history. Learn how you can research local history, gather oral histories, contribute to sharing the stories, and then preserving the places that make our communities unique....

WORKSHOPS

Across the nation historic walking tours, bus coach tours, and electronic tours provide a glimpse of the places where history happened. Paranormal, haunted, and ghost tours are emerging to tell the story of many notable places "after dark".

Learn how you can spice up your tours by the use of storytelling techniques, enliven historical details, incorporate local legends, and give a performance that visitors will want to come back for....again and again.

Local History Means Local Stories /

Combining her professional training with her experiences as a historian, Hudson provides tips and tools for unearthing the truth behind local legends of hauntings, paranormal activities, and other things that go "bump" during the night in a community.

Basic how-to information for collecting local public information; learn to identify an urban legend; perfect for local historians, paranormal buffs, or anyone interested in research. [HISTORYING SERIES: 3]
Cost: $150.oo + mileage; Approx. 60 minutes.

MY FEES

There is intense preparation that goes into a quality presentation. Like any performer time and attention must be given to study, research, and preparation.

Fees:
$80 for a 40 to 50 minute presentation of stories.
$100 for multiple presentations in one day or to various age groups.

The calendar fills up quickly so schedule early.
